Real Estate Photography Guidelines & Terms

Thanks for working with Jasmine Shammay Studio!

Here is a quick breakdown of how I run things: booking, payment, delivery, and usage rights. Booking a shoot means you agree to the policies outlined below. I have kept this short and clear, but I am always happy to talk anything through if you have questions.

1. Booking a shoot

You can book a shoot over the phone or right on my website. Either way, you will receive a confirmation with your property address, date and time, and the services you selected. That confirmation locks in your spot. No deposit needed.

2. Payment and getting your photos

Payment is quick and easy by credit card online, a safe and secure way to pay. Once editing is complete, your photos go into a private online gallery where you can preview every shot. The moment your payment goes through, the watermarks come off and your full-resolution photos are ready to download.

3. Cancellations and delays

Life and listings shift around, I get it. All I ask is that you let me know as soon as possible if you need to cancel or move a shoot.

If you need to reschedule, no worries at all—we will just find the next available spot that works, and there is no penalty. However, if a shoot is completely cancelled on the same day as the appointment, a flat $75 fee applies. The same fee applies if I arrive and cannot shoot because I am turned away or the property is completely unready.

4. Accessibility & property access

As a licensed REALTOR®, I have Supra access and can easily enter the property via the lockbox if allowed, so you don’t have to be there to let me in. If the property requires a gate code, special lockbox combo, or specific parking instructions, please let me know before the shoot so everything goes smoothly. Additionally, if there are neighborhood amenities you want photographed (like a pool or clubhouse) that require a key fob or access code, please make sure those are provided or arranged ahead of time so I can get in.

5. Weather

Georgia weather does its own thing. We get rain, falling leaves in the fall, and the occasional bit of snow or ice. Unless conditions are severe or unsafe, the shoot will go on as scheduled.

Overcast and rainy days actually create beautifully soft, even lighting for interior rooms. Exterior images will include complimentary sky enhancements if needed, so the home still looks bright and welcoming. True winter weather emergencies (like frozen precipitation, black ice, or dangerous road conditions) will be handled safely on a case-by-case basis.

6. Getting the property ready & creative control

The photos come out best when the space is camera-ready before I arrive: tidied, staged, lights working, and blinds set the way you would like. I have an easy property prep guide that walks through all of this, so please give it a look before your shoot.

I operate completely independently on-site, using my professional discretion for angles, composition, and lighting to showcase the home beautifully. You do not need to be present or provide direction. However, if there are specific architectural features or selling points you definitely want highlighted, please let me know before the shoot! Otherwise, the shots captured using my professional judgment will be considered final.

Please note that I do not clean, move furniture, or manage pets while I'm working. I love animals, but they do need to be safely secured during the shoot so I can focus on the details and keep my camera equipment safe. Because of this, I can't be responsible for shots affected by an unprepared or occupied space.

7. Editing

I deliver your photos fully edited and ready to post. Color, exposure, and the usual cleanup are all included, along with one round of minor adjustments if something needs it, like adding fire to a fireplace. Twilight enhancements and virtual staging are available for a small added fee, listed on my website.

To keep listings honest and within advertising rules, I will not digitally remove permanent features of a property like power lines, cracks, or structural issues. On your end, minor cropping or resizing for a platform is fine, but heavier edits or filters can misrepresent the property.

8. Turnaround, delivery, and gallery storage

I usually deliver within 24 hours of the shoot, and a fast next-day turnaround is always my goal. Major holidays can stretch that a little, but I will let you know if so. Everything comes through your private gallery link. Once your images are unlocked, please make sure to download them and save a permanent backup copy for your future reference.

9. What you can do with your photos

Quick thing people often do not realize: I keep the copyright to the photos I take, even after you have them. What you are paying for is a license to use them, and here is what that covers.

Once paid, the hiring agent gets a nonexclusive license to use the photos to market that specific property: MLS, listing sites, your own marketing for the listing, social media, all of it. That license lasts as long as you have the listing and ends when the property sells, expires, or is withdrawn.

What it does not cover is passing the photos to anyone else (like another agent who picks up the listing later, the homeowner, a builder, a stager, or any other vendor) without checking with me first. If the property gets relisted later, the photos just need a quick relicense. Any of these uses are easy to arrange, so just reach out and we will sort the licensing.

10. My copyright and portfolio

I keep ownership of all the images and may use them in my own portfolio, website, and marketing. If there is ever a property you would rather I keep private, just say the word in writing and I will honor it.

11. If something goes wrong

I shoot with professional, backed-up gear and take real care with your files. In the rare case something outside my control, like equipment failure, data loss, or theft, keeps me from delivering, the most I am responsible for is refunding what you paid for that shoot. I cannot cover indirect costs like a lost sale or commission.

12. Payment hiccups

If a billing question ever comes up, please come to me first as I would much rather fix it directly. Filing a chargeback for services rendered and work already delivered is not fair game, and the balance, plus any fees, would still be owed.

13. The legal basics

These terms follow the laws of Georgia, and we both agree to try to work out any disagreement directly before taking it further.

14. Changes

I may tweak these terms now and then. Whatever is posted when you book is what applies to your shoot, and the current version always lives here.
