Jasmine Shammay is a mixed media artist based in Atlanta, Georgia. Born in Israel and raised in Miami Beach, she draws from a multicultural background that continues to shape her creative world. Her work reflects a deep connection to natural materials, light, and form, often influenced by the earthy palettes and textures of the Mediterranean. She combines layered paint, clay, mosaic, and gold leaf to build richly textured surfaces. Whether earthy and neutral or bold and color driven, her pieces invite reflection and offer visual dimension from every angle. With a background in interior decoration and styling, Jasmine brings an instinctive sense of balance and spatial awareness to her art. Her compositions often explore contrast between softness and structure, light and depth, simplicity and complexity. While much of her work leans into organic tones and layered materials, other pieces bring a more playful energy through vibrant palettes, textured elements and abstracted landscapes. This versatility allows her collections to speak across different moods while still feeling cohesive
I approach art with a focus on materials, structure, and balance. My process is hands-on and rooted in design, often beginning with texture or color before the composition takes shape. I work across mediums including paint, clay, and metallic finishes, combining them in ways that feel clean and intentional. Each piece is made to belong in a space — visually interesting, thoughtfully built, and designed to complement its surroundings. I think about how a piece interacts with light and how it can add depth without distraction. I’m always testing new materials and techniques that bring dimension and flexibility without overcomplicating the work.
